On the road... AB
As you all now know, the Canadian Landscape Portfolio First Edition is online since its unveiling at the 2016 CSLA Winnipeg Congress... All nine (9) component associations collections are shown plus an introductory text and their respective selections. You are invited to peruse through these images taken by participating Canadian landscape architects willing to show what they would see as a "significant landscape" and why those sometimes personal images were meaningful.
Winnipeg after the storm. MB
I hope you had the opportunity and time to look around you during this precious season - while all season are rich in opportunities to explore and appreciate our vast and highly diversified country, summer is certainly the favourite season for adventures and explorations. It was the perfect occasion to find those special "designed places" that could become your submissions in CLP's second edition.
For me, this summer was the occasion to travel from Halifax to Prince-Rupert / island of Vancouver for a period of ten (10) weeks. I think I am starting to grasp how unbelievable and majestic the Canadian landscapes can be... And our interventions definitely can add to this strength.
